The mission of LMU’s Katz Family Academic Skills Program for Learning and Success is to provide enhanced academic support services to students through a multidisciplinary, holistic approach. The Katz Program provides individual learning strategy sessions for students who may present with identified learning disorders such as dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and/or other learning differences. The Katz Program seeks to empower LMU students to become successful and self-directed lifelong learners. Learning Specialists and Academic Coaches utilize a strengths based approach in working with students during individualized weekly sessions. Some areas of focus include time management, study strategies, issues related to attention, focus, and motivation.
