Fulbright U.S. Student Program
Are you interested in living and working abroad for a year? Do you want to pursue independent research, graduate study, or teaching opportunities while engaging in enriching cross-cultural exchange? Do you want to make yourself a more competitive applicant for future professional and academic opportunities? Want a way to defer your student loans while figuring out your future?
If your answer to any of these questions is yes, you should consider applying for one of the Fulbright US Student Program grants.*
*Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be US citizens and hold a bachelor’s degree at the start of the grant term; thus graduating seniors are eligible to apply. Those who have doctorates should consider applying for a grant through the Fulbright Scholar Program. Questions about this program can be directed to LMU’s Office of Research and Sponsored Projects.

All applicants should review the Fulbright Application Timeline for 2018-2019 Cycle. Note that the campus deadline for the completed Fulbright application is Monday, September 11, 2017.Contact Cassidy Alvarado, Director of ONIF, with any questions.

Start Your Fulbright Application
- Click here to reach the Embark Application portal.
- Enter your basic information.
- Once you've filled out the basic info, you'll see a number of links in the menu on the left side of your screen. Click on "Application Form."
- Question #5 on that form will enable you to select Loyola Marymount University as the institution through which you are applying. Then, click "Save" (located in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Once you've done this, I will see you in the system and will be able to contact you directly regarding important Fulbright announcements, workshops, etc.
