Christine A. Chavez

Christine oversees the administration of national student and faculty surveys on campus, provides support and guidance to faculty and staff in developing surveys, and provides leadership in the development and administration of methods for evaluating teaching effectiveness. Christine also regularly hosts a variety of survey workshops on campus for faculty and staff, including workshops on basic survey design, improving response rates, and utilizing survey data.

Christine completed her undergraduate studies in Sociology at the University of Michigan before pursuing a Master of Arts in Sociology at Indiana University. Before joining LMU in 2008, she served as both a Research Assistant on several survey research projects focusing on gender, sexuality, and religion and as an Associate Instructor for Sociology at Indiana University, teaching Introduction to Sociology, the Sociology of Religion, and the Sociology of Gender.
