Mia Watson joined LMU as the Director of the Academic Resource Center (ARC) in 2017. Following receiving a BA in English Literature from UCLA, Mia received an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Art from California State University, Long Beach. Prior to coming to LMU Ms. Watson work at UCLA managing retention and outreach programs for the Division of Student Affairs and the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. As a visual artist with a passion for painting Ms. Watson brings a creative spirit to her leadership of the ARC.

Originally from Philadelphia, Clinton Bullock earned a BA in Spanish from La Salle University and a MA in International Policy Studies from Middleburry Institute of International Studies (MIIS). Previously the Associate Director of Immersive Professional Learning and Special Programs at MIIS, Clinton brings a passion for language acquisition, staff and faculty development, and global event planning to his work at the ARC. In his current role Mr. Bullock is working to enhance course tutoring and develop new initiatives to support the diverse needs of our student population, while pursuing his doctorate in Education at USC.

Morgan Gross earned her BA in English from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, her MA in Rhetoric and Composition from Texas State University in San Marcos, and her PhD in Rhetoric and Composition from Ball State University in Indiana. She comes to LMU with years of experience in teaching and writing program and writing center administration. Dr. Gross's research interests include language diversity, social justice, and writing center theory and practice. In line with LMU's mission and her own values, Dr. Gross will work to encourage learning through writing, educate tutor staff and student cllients as whole persons, and promote justice in her role as Associate Director of the Writing Center.

Ashley Watterson received her BA in Asian and Pacific Studies with a minor in Chinese in 2013 and a MA in Higher Education Administration in 2017 from LMU. She began her career at LMU in 2013 and joined the ARC staff in 2016. Ashley is passionate about and committed to working with first-generation and other underrepresented groups. Her special interests include the identity development of multiethnic students and international education.

Jackie Leung earned her undergraduate degree in International Business from the University of Denver where she also competed as a Division I student athlete in swimming. She received her MA from LMU in Urban Education and has spent the past four seasons as the volunteer assistant coach for the women's swimming team. Jackie is passionate about ensuring that students have access to all the resources necessary to be successful in their educational journeys.

Jason Tran received his BA in Sociology with a minor in Asian American Studies from UCLA and his MA in Counseling from LMU. Prior to joining the ARC staff Jason worked as a Career Counselor at UCLA’s Career Center where he helped undergraduate and graduate students navigate the career development process. A Los Angeles native, Mr. Tran has committed his career to empowering students to realize their fullest potential.

Three-time Lion, Melissa Iriarte received her BA in English, MA in Higher Education Administration, and started her career all at LMU. As a former ARC writing tutor, GSLMU president, and a resident advisor, Ms. Iriarte began her professional career at LMU with the Student Affairs Dean's Office. Melissa currently serves as the on-campus advisor for Alpha Phi, is a staff senator, and will serve as the Interim Writing Coordinator for the ARC for the Fall Semester. It is her goal to contribute to the overall LMU community by assisting students with their educational goals.

Jenni received her Bachelor’s from the University of California, Davis, and is currently working on her Master’s in Higher Education Administration at Loyola Marymount University. She is passionate about helping underserved and underrepresented students navigate the higher education system as well as enjoy and thrive during their collegiate studies. Through her role, Jenni hopes to foster community and bring awareness about the various support services LMU offers. Originally from Hollywood, Jenni loves to hike, explore, and try new things on her spare time.
