Advising at LMU

According to the University Bulletin, LMU has a faculty-based advising model where students are assigned an academic advisor who is a faculty member with their specific major or college.

However, there are a number of advising support systems available for students to utilize. See below for descriptions.

Academic Resource Center
University Advisors

University Advisors are general advisors who empower students by giving them the tools to understand and take ownership of their academic journey. These staff members help to assist students in their transition to LMU by providing support in navigating the university. University Advisors supplement other advisors on campus by assisting students in utilizing Degree Works and the University Bulletin, understanding the core curriculum, clarifying university policies and procedures, directing students to the appropriate campus resource, and preparing students to meet with their assigned advisor.
