Southern California Restorative Justice Consortium
In January 2020, the CURes Restorative Justice (RJ) Project received a grant from an anonymous donor to launch the Southern California Restorative Justice Consortium. With this project, we aim to bring Higher Education institutes, Archdiocesan and public school districts, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations together to:
- Collaborate on scholarship and best practices to build efficacy by creating a strong network of RJ Practices educators and practitioners;
- Educate future generations of RJ leaders for scholarship, practice, and implementation by increasing support for RJ Practices in educational institutions;
- Research education and implementation processes to establish and disseminate best practices in the region; and
- Create a regional model that can be replicated nationwide.
Outreach for this project is ongoing, and we welcome anyone interested in joining or learning more about the Consortium to contact Schoene.Mahmood@lmu.edu.
