Perfect Pronunciation in the Workplace is a certificate program designed for English Language Learners to master the skills that enable an individual to speak English clearly and confidently in business and social situations.

The goal is to greatly improve English clarity and communication techniques in business and social conversations, and job interviews to reach full professional potential in the North American workplace.

This course provides the student :

  • Clarity- the student will improve his/her English skills with clear, confident pronunciation of the consonant and vowel sounds of standard North American English.
  • Flow – The student will speak English with accurate word and sentence rhythm, will learn how to use intonation to get the true meaning of his/her conversation across an audience
  • Understanding – the student will become aware of his/her accent errors, and how to improve them.

 

The course includes both online video and text study materials, live webinars, and regular feedback on student progress through exams completed by phone or online at the beginning and the end of the course.

  • Faculty

    Bonnie Gross, BA, DSPA, SLP (reg.), Current President of SpeechScience Inc.  University of Toronto, BA in Psychology and MA in Speech Pathology. Bonnie Gross has over 25 years of experience in speech pathology, voice training, writing and performing for radio and  television and has delivered speaking skills programs to Fortune 500 Companies and created and delivered proprietary online and live training programs to universities and corporations such as University of Ontario, Richard Ivey School of Business, RBC, IBM Canada Ltd., Kraft, DELL, TD, Deloitte, American Express, etc.

    In 2015, she received the Honors of the Association – for outstanding contributions to the profession of Speech Pathology and the Programming Excellence Award—for Ethnicity –weekly TV series highlighting Diversity in Canada. Bonnie is former President of the Ontario Speech and Hearing Association; creator and head of the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Toronto's Scarborough General Hospital for 15 years.
