Annika Chen
Annika Chen, Administrative Coordinator, is a graduate of the MA program in Philosophy at LMU. While in the MA program, Annika served as a Graduate Student Assistant, working to cultivate and enhance faculty-student relations and hosting events within the department. Her philosophical research lies at the intersection of feminist philosophy and social epistemology. She is particularly interested in questions about the metaphysics of gender and concerns surrounding epistemic injustice. Her work is centered around two overarching questions: 1) Is there an essential (but not fundamental) nature to gender? 2) How are people with intersectional marginalized identities epistemically privileged in their access to realms of knowledge, and/or epistemically hindered from other areas of knowledge? She engages with the likes of Miranda Fricker, Kristie Dotson, and Judith Butler. Outside of philosophy, Annika has a passion for travelling, live music, and seeing her friends around the world.
