Igniting Innovation
Gustavo Vejarano’s groundbreaking project on combatting and monitoring wildfires is funded by a substantial grant from the NSF. The grant, which will fund both hardware and software components of the project, provides a unique learning opportunity for students in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and computer science.
Impactful Research
The Psychological Science department have been awarded more than $8 million in recent grants and contracts for impactful research related to community psychology and mental health, understanding addiction, and how stigma contributes to cancer-related health disparities.
Award-Winning Creatives
Can You Bring It: Bill T. Jones and D-Man in the Waters, a documentary produced by dance professor and chair Rosalynde LeBlanc Loo, and featuring performances by LMU Dance students, has won a 2023 Peabody Award in the Arts Category.
