Assessment centers on having clear, concrete learning outcomes for students and using meaningful evidence to evaluate achievement of those outcomes, with the aim of informing changes to teaching, courses, and curriculum. Each year, the Office of Assessment conducts a study of student achievement of at least one Undergraduate Learning Outcome.

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE), and alumni surveys provide insight into students' educational experiences at LMU and the impact of those experiences post-graduation.
