10,000 Degrees strives to provide the support, through mentoring and financial assistance, for low-income students to get to and through college.
When a student applies for a 10,000 Degrees Undergraduate Scholarship, he or she is automatically considered for ten other scholarships (see website for list).
Eligibility and Requirements
To be considered for a 10,000 Degrees Undergraduate Scholarships, the applicant must:
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be enrolled in a program leading to student’s first associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or teaching credential during the following academic school year
- Be enrolled in an average of 12 academic units per term during the following academic school year (or full time as designated by school)
Application Procedures and Selection Criteria
Application requirements are found online when the application opens.
Priority will be given to high school graduates from Marin and Sonoma County.
Applications open in early January and are due in early March.
