What is LMU’s Virtual Study Abroad?

The virtual study abroad programs will offer an immersive course with experiential programming that will complement each class. Explore how a virtual study abroad program can expand your horizons this summer!

LMU Virtual Study Abroad: International Business Venturing & Socio-economic Development

This virtual global program explores international entrepreneurship through interactive company visits, executive speakers, and engaging team-building activities. Students complete two business consulting projects for companies based in Africa, Asia, Europe, or South America. Join us this summer!

Students will apply critical thinking, business knowledge and strategic problem solving within the context of real-time challenges confronting today’s global business. The program explores essentials of international business venturing (IBV) and socio-economic development (SED).  IBV covers the subject of international entrepreneurship in a narrowly defined scope prioritizing commercial missionof a business firm, often a small or medium-sized enterprise’s (SME) international business start-up or  international expansion of an existing SME. SED component reflects the growing stakeholder needs and interests in  socially and environmentally responsible business approach under the “triple bottom line” concept.
