Sacramento Seminar

Sacramento Seminar

For over sixty years, the Sacramento Seminar has brought students from numerous colleges and universities throughout California to the state capital for the opportunity to engage directly with politics. The program includes rich discussions with executive officers, legislators, legislative staff, campaign directors, lobbyists, and journalists as well as site visits to various historic rooms in the State Capitol. In addition, LMU students will meet and network with alumni who live in the Sacramento area and have careers in public policy. Students in the program expand the boundaries of the classroom and make invaluable connections towards long-term career goals in politics and public service.

This year, the Sacramento Seminar will take place from Sunday, March 3 to Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

The program is open to students enrolled in POLS 4380: Politics of California with Dr. Fernando Guerra.
