Welcome to the IRB website!

Loyola Marymount University is committed to the safety and protection of human participants and animals, involved in research.  We strive to promote compliance, without compromising the pursuit of excellent research.   It is our mission to provide timely, high quality, and comprehensive review of research involving human participants, and animals, in accordance with the protection of their rights and welfare.  We are mindful that human participants and animal subjects are deserving of respect, dignity and compassion, and that research at LMU should always be conducted in an ethical, responsible and judicious manner.  We subscribe to the ethical standards as outlined in the Belmont Report, to all applicable federal and state regulations, in addition to University policies.
