The mission of LMU’s Academic Skills Program for Learning and Success is to provide enhanced academic support services to students through a multidisciplinary, holistic approach. This program provides individual learning strategy sessions for students who may present with identified learning disorders such as dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and/or other learning differences. We seek to empower LMU students to become successful and self-directed lifelong learners. Learning Specialists and Academic Coaches utilize a strengths based approach in working with students during individualized weekly sessions. Some areas of focus include time management, study strategies, issues related to attention, focus, and motivation.
In The Academic Skills Program at Loyola Marymount University, we:
- Offer one on one meeting.
- Provide individual learning strategy sessions for our students.
- Offer Individualized weekly sessions (focused on topics such as time management, study strategies, issues relates to attention, focus and motivation)
