The Office of International Programs and Partnerships (IPP) at Loyola Marymount University has adopted the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) in response to a world in need of innovative and creative problem solvers, we strive to integrate these goals into our diverse learning environments and broader DEI university activities. By embracing the UN SDGs, we are reaffirming our dedication to developing global persons who are equipped to make meaningful contributions to a more sustainable and equitable world.
At LMU, global learning is more than just an essential educational goal, it is a deeply ingrained outcome rooted in our liberal arts traditions. Guided by our Catholic, Jesuit, and Marymount mission, we aim to educate the whole person that nurtures a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) and social justice to address pressing global challenges.

LMU Honored with Multiple International Education Awards
LMU has received two honors from the Institute of International Education (IIE) for its outstanding work in global education. The university earned the 2024 IIE Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education for its Gilman Incentive Grant (GIG) and an American Passport Project grant, which will help up to 25 students obtain their first U.S. passport and pursue education abroad. Three LMU Students Named 2024-2025 Fulbright Finalists
Three LMU students have been selected as finalists, and an additional three as alternates or semi-finalists, for the 2024-25 Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Two finalists will take part in the English Teaching Assistant Award program, and one finalist was selected to study in Denmark. Read more HERE.
