COIL

About

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) is a virtual learning approach designed and facilitated by faculty. COIL courses connect two accredited institutions, located in different countries or cultural settings through an online platform. Faculty and their COIL partners co-create a collaborative module for their students to help achieve course learning outcomes. COIL modules vary in duration. COIL brings the world to LMU and supports our mission to promote innovative and equitable global learning for all.

COIL Partners

Finding a COIL partner is a critical part of the COIL planning and course design process. LMU is part of the SUNY COIL Global Network, which includes a range of faculty partners from a variety of disciplines around the world. LMU faculty looking for COIL partners may submit a COIL profile and/or attend SUNY COIL Partner Fairs held quarterly.

COIL Resources

LMU COIL Community Conversations are held once a semester, and all are welcome. Please contact the director of global learning, Dr. Jennifer Ramos (jennifer.ramos@lmu.edu), for more information. For additional resources, please see here.
