James Quirin, PhD 

James Quirin is a professor at Fisk University and scholar known for his extensive work on Beta Israel (Ethiopian Jews). He has authored numerous books and academic articles and has significantly contributed to the expanding knowledge of Ethiopian Jews.

Among his notable works are: The Evolution of the Ethiopian Jews: A History of the Beta Israel (Falasha) to 1920 (1992), Ethiopia: National Integration, Ethnicity and Modernization (1973), and The Process of Caste Formation in Ethiopia: A Study of the Beta Israel (Falasha), 1270–1868 (1979)
