Honors Core

The foundation of your LMU education takes place in what is called the “core curriculum”—a set of courses that introduce you to a breadth of topics, develop your communication and critical thinking skills, and connect themes from different disciplines to answer life’s big questions. Honors students take a different set of core courses from the general LMU core in Honors-dedicated sections. Learn about the differences between the LMU core and Honors core  here

Honors Thesis

Every Honors student must complete an Honors Thesis as part of their curriculum, representing the culmination of their academic journey and a lasting contribution to the University Honors Program. This thesis showcases original research or creative work, mentored by a faculty advisor, and completed through two courses: Honors 5000 (Honors Thesis) and Honors 4000 (Portfolio and Assessment).
