In 2014, Jeff Dietrich read from & signed his most recent book, The Good Samaritan, a collection of essays on politics, society, and his life in the Catholic Worker community caring for the poor on Los Angeles' skid row.
The event was be attended by members of Los Angeles' Catholic Worker community, as well as residents of Skid Row who frequent the Catholic Worker kitchen. A reception with live music from The Wind & Rain followed the event. Hardcover and paperback copies of the books were available for purchase at a special discounted rate.
