Tony Plana speaking to CFA students

Loyola Marymount University delivers an education founded on the notion of cura personalis (care for whole person) and an institutional commitment to issues of social justice. To that end, the university is committed to creating online and hybrid instructional experiences that deliver the same high-quality education that is synonymous with LMU.

Online and hybrid courses at LMU are NOT self-paced, correspondence courses where learning happens distanced from instructors and from peers. Online instruction at LMU is more than a series of electronic transactions and student initiated communications to their instructor.

Our online and hybrid academic offerings reflect our mission and our encouragement of learning, education of the whole student, the service of faith and the promotion of justice. Courses reflect the new Federal Regulations on Distance Education (DE) that define specific requirements and guidelines for the delivery of online/hybrid courses that the Department of Education made effective on July 1, 2021.
