Deciphering the Alphabet Soup of Sexual Orientation & Gender Identities
Thursday, 9.13
10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Come hear grassroots activist, educator, speaker and editor, Robyn Ochs.

LGBT, LGBTQ, LGBTQQIA, QUILTBAGS. Every day, it seems that there are more and more letters. What are some of the new labels? How are people using and experiencing sexual orientation and gender in 2018?

Given these developments, what do you need to know to be a culturally competent faculty member in this area? And how can faculty foster teaching and inclusive learning environments which facilitate the success of all students, whatever their backgrounds and identities? Bring your questions and an open mind.

We will be co-sponsoring this event with LGBT Student Services & Interculturalism at the CTE.
