Alumni Mentor Program

The ACE Alumni Mentoring Program gives ACE alumni and students an opportunity to build academic and professional relationships with one another. Mentors are former ACE scholars who are working professionals or current or recent graduate or professional school students. Scholars who choose to have a mentor will receive tools for thriving at LMU and excelling as future professionals and in graduate and professional school.

Benefits

ACE alumni who serve as mentors receive the following benefits:

  • The opportunity to give back to ACE by supporting its scholars
  • An active connection to ACE and LMU
  • The satisfaction of guiding a student in their academic and career endeavors
  • The opportunity to serve as a role model to someone with similar educational or professional goals!

We ask that mentors commit to the program for at least one semester. Although we will make efforts to pair alumni with students, please be aware that pairings are based on availability.

To sign up to be a mentor, please complete the Alumni Mentor Form.

To sign up to be a mentee, please complete the Student Mentee Form.

Student Testimonial of ACE Alumni Mentor Program

“The ACE Mentor program has been amazing for me. The relationship I have with my mentor has been something I really value, and the connection was almost immediate from our first conversation. As someone who was in my shoes not too long ago, Daniel really related to me when it came to my experience at LMU, my goals, and overall became an immediate support. We even had a chance to meet in person! Knowing I have someone pulling for me in my corner and is willing to share what it takes to make it as a doctor, it means the world to me, especially as someone who struggled their first two years with their classes. I consider him a mentor and a friend” - Makeen Yasar
