The office of Global-Local Affairs facilitates collaborations and professional relationships among LMU faculty, staff, alumni, and other institutions on efforts related to comprehensive internationalization (global) and strategic community engagement (local). Our office provides ways to engage your "global imaginations" to intentionally incorporate global and local learning experiences into your teaching, research, and service.

Local and global citizenship are featured prominently in the LMU strategic plan with the recognition that students across all academic fields — facilitated by both faculty and staff — should be enthusiastic about and adept at cross-cultural interaction and cooperation in preparation for the complex and unscripted challenges they will encounter in their work, relationships, and lifelong learning.

Mission: Our mission is to support and promote innovative and equitable global learning for all.

Vision: Grounded in a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism, we aim to develop globally-minded problem solvers equipped to make meaningful contributions to a more sustainable and equitable world.
