Global Engagement Vision Award
The Global Engagement Vision Award seeks to engage departments, programs and offices in developing a global vision for their units, with an eye towards advancing our collective commitment to comprehensive internationalization and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Global Learning Program Grant
LMU’s Global-Local Affairs and Student Affairs are excited to announce the Global Learning Program Grant to support accessible global learning co-curricular experiences. This funding  opportunity is designed for registered student organizations (RSOs) to develop internationalization programming for the campus community.
Global-Local Learning Curriculum Development Grant
Proposals are now being solicited for the 2024 LMU Global-Local Learning Curriculum Development Grant with a focus on topics connected to advancing the UN SDGs. Global Learning Grants are available to continuing full-time faculty (tenured, tenure-track, clinical, and term) to enhance existing courses or build new courses that meaningfully incorporate global-local learning.
Global-Local Affairs Faculty Fellows
In partnership with the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), the GLA Faculty Fellow placement offers the opportunity for faculty to develop and coordinate faculty trainings and workshops to support the goals of intercultural-global learning and global-local community engagement focused on the UN SDGs and social justice (e.g., Internationalizing the Curriculum and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)). GLA Faculty Fellow's work also involves collecting and disseminating research on effective global-local teaching strategies and learning practices to support faculty professional development.
United Nations Climate Conference Award
In 2020, LMU received non-governmental official observer status from the UNFCCC. U.N. observer status allows LMU to organize delegations that enable our faculty and students to be accredited NGO participants at the annual U.N. Conference of the Parties (COP) and take our place as active participants in international climate change conversations.
