Co-Sponsorship and Funding Request

The Global-Local Affairs team is dedicated to global and intercultural education by sponsoring programs that promote cross-cultural interactions, awareness, and understanding by engaging community members in globally relevant topics. Our vision for co-sponsoring events that promote global learning is to cultivate a forward-thinking community that pursues knowledge, embraces inclusion, inspires creativity, and promotes social justice.

In accordance with LMU Policy, the co-sponsored requestor must be a representative of a college, school, department, or organization recognized by the University.

 

Who is Eligible to Apply for GLA Funding:

  • LMU Staff and Faculty

  • The program must be open to and inclusive of the whole LMU community

  • The program must align with GLA’s mission and vision.

Vetting Process:

Preference is given to programs, activities, and opportunities that:

  • Is informed by GLA’s Internationalization Report and goals, including promoting and strengthening global learning opportunities for all (GOAL 3; pg.3), and enhancing LMU’s global reputation (GOAL 4; pg.3) 

  • Demonstrate inter-departmental collaboration and engage a variety of student, faculty, and staff.

CO-SPONSORSHIP REQUEST FORM

Co-Sponsorship and Funding Request forms must be received by the 1st of the month to be considered for review at that month’s meeting. Please note that it may take up to two weeks to process, review, and render a decision on your request for funding.
