Virtual Teaching & Learning Resources to Bring the World to LMU
The following is a compilation of virtual Global Teaching and Learning Resources that range from UN SDG videos to a virtual exchange toolkit to connecting with our international partners through the Office of Study Abroad to arrange a speaker for your course. This list is a “work-in-progress” and we invite you to share information and/or suggestions so this website can be a space to intentionally connect interdisciplinary academic resources for open up global learning experiences for students and staff that are not able to travel abroad.

Global Engagement Vision Award
To support the objectives to increase equitable access to global, transnational, and international learning and engagement for students, LMU’s Office of Global-Local Affairs (GLA) announces the inaugural “Global Engagement Vision Award.” The goal of this new award is to get academic departments more engaged with GLA to enhance our institutional commitment to comprehensive internationalization and global learning for all that advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As part of the implementation of the Internationalization Strategic Plan produced from LMU’s participation in the American Council on Education’s Internationalization Laboratory (ACE Lab), the Global Vision Award will provide funding to faculty of $1,000 to:
- ) Develop a global vision statement (a paragraph or two) for their departments/programs (in consultation with their departments/programs) to be posted on the department/program’s website, and
- ) Curate a list of current course offerings that reflect global, international or transnational themes/topics with at least 25% content, as well as future courses that will further fulfill the vision.
GLA invites departments and programs across campus to apply for the Global Engagement Vision Award. Individual faculty and team submissions are encouraged. Work is to be completed by September 30, 2023.
