Ongoing New Faculty Orientation

New Faculty Orientation continues throughout the year with special workshops focused on teaching, scholarly/creative work, grant-writing, and networking/mentoring.  These events are held on Mondays from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm. The schedule found at the link below contains the dates and locations of these events as well as other recommended university-wide events intended for all faculty.

2018-2019 New Faculty Orientation Schedule:

  • February 4, 2019: Linda Nilson
    • 10:00 – 11:30 AM: Associate Professors – “Becoming a more prolific scholar”  
    • 12:00 – 1:30 PM: New faculty – “Teaching at its best”
    • 2:00 – 3:30 PM: Maximizing online and hybrid-course learning
    • 4:00 – 5:00 PM: Contingent & Term Faculty - “Engaging students in their classroom learning/active learning”
