Christine Chavez
Christine Chavez is the Assistant Vice Provost for Institutional Research and Decision Support. In this role, she provides campus-wide leadership and guidance in the use of data for decision making and planning purposes; oversees internal and external reporting of official university statistics; leads research studies in support of decision making and planning; and collaborates with others across the institution in promoting institutional effectiveness.
Before joining LMU in 2008, Christine completed her undergraduate studies in Sociology at the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts in Sociology at Indiana University. During her time at LMU she has also served as a Research Associate in Assessment, the Associate Director of Survey Research, a part-time faculty member in LMU’s Sociology Department, and served for over seven years on LMU’s Institutional Review Board. Christine has also taught a variety of sociology courses at Indiana University, including Introduction to Sociology, the Sociology of Religion, and the Sociology of Gender.
