Ramon Medina-Sanchez, Ph.D.

Ramon Medina-Sanchez, Ph.D., joined Institutional Research and Decision Support in March of 2025. He serves as an Institutional Research Associate and supports the development and dissemination of reports on official university statistics.
Throughout his professional and academic career, he has been driven by a deep curiosity to answer questions and solve problems. Research has been his primary tool for achieving this, leading him to pursue a master’s degree and complete a Ph.D. in economics, with a strong focus on academic research. He has been involved with various academic projects and publications, particularly in the field of labor market studies. Ramon’s career in institutional research began as an Institutional Research Associate at San Diego Miramar College as a Research Assistant in 2020. During this time, he grew a deep appreciation for the field as it allows him to apply his analytical skills to support data-driven decision-making.
Beyond his professional experience, he is committed to continuous learning and personal growth. He is always looking to refine his skills and acquire new ones, both to enhance his work and to contribute to his overall development.
