Leadership & Professional Development

At Loyola Marymount University, the Center for Faculty Development is committed to cultivating mission-driven faculty leaders who inspire, innovate, and serve our academic community. Under the Leadership and Professional Development portfolio, we provide intentional pathways for faculty to strengthen their leadership skills, expand their professional toolkit, and connect with peers across disciplines in ways that align with LMU’s values of excellence, integrity, and community.

This academic year, our programming includes three interconnected areas designed to meet faculty at different stages of their leadership journey: Leadership Series Workshop, Leadership Cohort, and Community of Practice (CoP) for Department Chairs. Together, these initiatives create a dynamic ecosystem of growth, equipping LMU faculty to lead with confidence, creativity, and care in the evolving landscape of higher education.
