Accessibility in Practice: Supporting Inclusive Workforce Services

Accessibility is an important part of ensuring that all individuals can fully access and participate in workforce services. For individuals with disabilities, barriers can occur at many points along the workforce journey, from outreach and intake to training, job search, employer engagement, and ongoing support. Building accessibility into everyday practices can help reduce these barriers before they occur. Simple considerations in how we design documents, communicate information, facilitate meetings and training, and deliver services can make workforce programs more inclusive and easier to navigate.

This resource provides practical tools and guidance to help AJCC, DOR, and workforce partners incorporate accessibility into everyday service delivery and strengthen access to employment and training opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
