State Level Workgroups and Deliverables
Advancing Collaboration Through Action
Workgroups are a cornerstone of the DOR–AJCC Collaboration Project, transforming the ideas and relationships established through the Communities of Practice into collaborative action. Bringing together representatives from the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), America's Job Centers of California (AJCCs), local workforce development boards, and other project partners, each workgroup focuses on developing practical, field-driven strategies that strengthen cross-system coordination and improve outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
Through regular convenings, participants:
- Discuss implementation challenges and emerging needs.
- Share tools, templates, and regional promising practices.
- Develop practical resources and recommendations to strengthen cross-system collaboration.
- Identify sustainable approaches that can be implemented statewide.
- Learn from peers and contribute to continuous improvement across the project.
Each workgroup is supported by a Regional Lead who helps facilitate discussions, encourage collaboration, and guide the development of workgroup deliverables. In addition to regularly scheduled meetings, participants receive targeted technical assistance, resource sharing, and ongoing support from the LMU project team to help advance the workgroup's goals.
