SAT/ACT Prep Course Series Details

Part 1 of our online SAT/ACT prep course dives into the verbal section for the ACT and SATs. The ACT prep portion will prepare students for the ACT verbal sections called the Reading Test, the English Test, and the Science Test. The Reading Test and the English Test assess an individual's knowledge of English usage, grammar, and reading comprehension. The SAT prep portion reviews the new SAT verbal sections now called Writing and Language and Reading. This SAT prep course covers the Reading section consisting of Information and Ideas, Rhetoric, and Synthesis questions based on reading passages and quantitative information.

Enrollment in this course also provides SAT writing practice so students can write the types of essays that grading officials are looking for.

For Part 2 of the SAT/ACT prep course series, students practice essential math questions from the ACT and the new SAT. It also includes a comprehensive review of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and basic math skills. Additionally, students will learn valuable time management tips to excel in the math portion of the ACT and examine functions and other Algebra II subjects on the new SAT.

Upon completing both SAT/ACT prep courses, students will possess knowledge of specific question types on both exams and have gained essential time management, anxiety relief, scoring, and general standardized test-taking tips.

Whether your child or student is preparing for college admissions or simply seeking to improve their scores, LMU Extension's SAT/ACT exam prep courses are a valuable investment in their future success.
