What is Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)?
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a testing and analysis technique used by industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component, structure or system for characteristic differences or welding defects and discontinuities without causing damage to the original part. NDT also known as non-destructive examination (NDE), non-destructive inspection (NDI) and non-destructive evaluation (NDE).
The American Aerospace Technical Academy (AATA) is a Los Angeles-based 501c3 nonprofit that provides NDT training to underserved groups including Veterans, women and low income adults. AATA has partnered with LMU Extension to provide advanced NDT courses to individuals and companies interested in refresher courses, skill upgrades, and layoff aversion programs and services.
