Carol Asch is the Deputy Director of the Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Division (VRED) at the California Department of Rehabilitation (CA-C), She has over 25 years of experience providing and overseeing services and advocacy in pursuit of employment, independence, and equality for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Prior to her current role, she served as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, supervisor, and District Administrator. She has developed and continues to lead initiatives to provide pre-employment transition services for students with disabilities, including justice-involved youth. She currently oversees the Department’s two Disability Innovation Fund projects.
