Communities of Practice

EVENT DETAILS 

In March 2026, representatives from California's Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), the Employment Development Department (EDD), America’s Job Center of California (AJCC), and key project stakeholders met in Sacramento for a Community of Practice focused on strengthening cross-system collaboration. The convening provided a structured space for shared learning, identification of promising practices, and exploration of strategies to enhance coordination, service delivery, and employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities.

The Community of Practice generated valuable insights and practical strategies to strengthen coordination across DOR, AJCC, and workforce partners. Discussions focused on identifying opportunities to improve service alignment, enhance participant experiences, and advance more inclusive workforce practices.
