Partnerships & Collaboration

Strengthening Impact Through Statewide Collaboration

The DOR–AJCC Collaboration Project is grounded in strong, sustained partnerships across California’s workforce system. This work brings together state agencies, Local Workforce Development Boards, and technical assistance partners to strengthen coordination and improve how services are delivered to individuals with disabilities.

At the center of this effort are California’s Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs), whose leadership and regional expertise are essential to advancing access, equity, and inclusion. This project is designed to support collaboration across systems while recognizing and building on the unique strengths of each region.

Statewide Coordination & Workgroups

The project is supported through ongoing coordination with state partners, including the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). As part of this effort, project workgroups provide a structured space for partners across regions to collaborate, share strategies, and address implementation challenges. Workgroups focus on key areas such as co-case management, intake and referral, employer engagement, and staff development.
