Strategic Support

Empowering Local Workforce Development Boards to Advance Disability Inclusion

The DOR-AJCC Collaboration Project is designed to drive lasting, systemic improvements in how California’s public workforce system serves people with disabilities. A cornerstone of this effort is the comprehensive technical assistance and strategic support provided to 18 Local Workforce Development Boards across the state.

LMU in coordination with the Employment Development Department (EDD) and the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), will support AJCC teams build capacity, strengthen interagency collaboration, and implement inclusive, sustainable practices.

Rooted in LMU's commitment to social justice and academic excellence, our approach equips workforce development professionals with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to create systemic change and build a more inclusive, coordinated public workforce system.

We realize that each region operates within a distinct context and faces its own set of unique challenges. Accordingly, our support is responsive and tailored to the specific needs, priorities, and capacities of each local area.
