HIRED LA

HIRED LA is a collaborative workforce development initiative focused on expanding employment and career advancement opportunities for formerly incarcerated and justice-impacted individuals in Los Angeles County. Funded by the California Workforce Development Board, the initiative introduces participants to career pathways in behavioral health through coordinated workforce training, supportive services, and strong partnerships among community organizations, local workforce boards, employers, and LMU Extension.

This video highlights the voices of HIRED LA participants, sharing their experiences navigating education, training, and employment pathways. Through their stories, the video illustrates the value of coordinated workforce systems and individualized support in helping participants build confidence, skills, and career momentum.
