Scholarships and Grant-Funded Programs

LMU Extension is committed to providing valuable learning experiences to the community.  LMU Extension programs can help individuals from diverse backgrounds advance their careers, increase opportunities for wage mobility, and explore professional development. Scholarship and grant funding may be available for selected programs to support students in reaching their academic and employment goals. * Merit and need-based scholarships are awarded annually to eligible students and made possible through the generous support of our benefactors and community partners.

Grant-Funded Tuition Programs

Grant funding may be available for underserved and underrepresented groups including eligible youth, low-income adults, Veterans, formerly incarcerated individuals, and laid off workers. For consideration, please complete a Financial Assistance Application. Funding is not guaranteed and is based on funding availability.  

Thomas P. Pike Substance Use Disorders Counseling Scholarships

Scholarships may be available to individuals interested in pursuing careers in Substance Use Disorders Counseling.  Eligible students may receive a one-time award of up to 50% of tuition. Thomas P. Pike Scholarship Awards are based on financial need; availability of funding and the number of applicants received each semester. For scholarship consideration, applicants must submit a complete application and required documentation.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Scholarship funding is not available for Fall 2024.  

Peer Specialist Training Programs

Scholarships are available for California residents interested in Peer Specialist Training and includes the cost of tuition, career counseling, job placement assistance and post-program support for six (6) months.
