Anthony is a Senior Manager for the System of Supports Department at the San Diego County Office of Education where he has worked for 24 years. After receiving his master’s degree in social work from San Francisco State University in 1994, Anthony served schools in the area of gang and violence prevention for 15 years, and for the past 9 years has developed and provided restorative justice practices trainings and supports for schools and organizations in San Diego County. Anthony currently serves as the lead trainer and coach for restorative justice practices for schools in San Diego County and has trained over 11,000 educators and service providers. Anthony developed and currently provides several restorative justice practices trainings, including the following; Introduction to Restorative Justice Practices, Effective Use of Circles in Schools, Restorative Conflict Intervention, Restorative Conferencing, Restorative Leadership, and RJP Site Implementation / Sustainability, and RJP Training of Trainers.

Anthony provides restorative justice practices coaching and support for several teachers, counselors, administrators and school district leaders. He developed and currently manages the San Diego County Restorative Justice Practices Collaborative, as well as the San Diego County Restorative Practices List Serve. He also developed and manages the Restorative Practices Google Drive containing several resources to support other educators who are promoting restorative practices in their school and districts. Anthony provides RJP services and support to his colleagues in the San Diego County Office of Education as requested.
