Larry is originally from Long Island, New York. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama, Fine Arts and Psychology from Hofstra University and a Master of Education in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California. Larry has framed his time working with the in the Education sector as an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of belonging through community by actively listening, uplifting, and empowering the voices of those he works with. Viewing belonging as a shared human experience that differs based on our identities and their intersections is central to how Larry navigates the communities he is a part of. He firmly believes when we do not examine the humanity of what it means to belong, we can not engage with the commitment it takes to actively create a world centered in Justice.

Larry began his work with restorative practices through his full time role in the Division of Student Affairs at Loyola Marymount University. He has continued his learning and growth thanks to the mentorship and guidance from Schoene Mahmood. Most recently he has been able to employ restorative practices in his work on the Advisory Commission for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with Delta Gamma National Fraternity. Larry also serves as a member of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee. In 2021 he has the opportunity to serve as an inaugural Gamma Phi Beta Belonging, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Summit Event Facilitator serving over 1800 collegiate members! His passion is helping young people find their authentic selves and encouraging them to live their truth proudly & safely. In his spare time, you can catch him brunching and listening to Beyonce’s “Lemonade” (on repeat since April 2016).
