Building Workforce Leaders for an Inclusive Future

A core component of the DOR-AJCC Collaboration Project is a robust professional development framework designed to strengthen leadership capacity and deepen understanding of disability inclusion within California’s public workforce system. LMU will deliver targeted, high-quality training led by faculty experts and scholars in the fields of disability justice, workforce development, public policy, and systems change. Through customized learning experiences, LMU will equip workforce development professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to lead effective, equity-driven change.

As part of this effort, LMU will launch the Certificate in Leadership in Disability Workforce Development - a specialized credential that recognizes professionals who demonstrate a commitment to advancing disability equity in workforce systems. This certificate program, developed and taught by LMU faculty and scholars, will provide participants with advanced learning in areas such as disability rights, program innovation, systems thinking, and organizational leadership.

This professional development initiative reflects LMU’s mission to foster ethical leadership and promote justice through education. By investing in the growth of workforce professionals, we are building the foundation for sustainable, transformative change across the state.
