PHIL 1800, 2000, & 2010 Tutor
Hi, I'm Hayley! I started at LMU as a history major, but I fell in love with philosophy during my first semester after I unknowingly registered for a notoriously difficult upper division ancient philosophy course. I certainly struggled with it at first, but it was the best mistake I've ever made! I have found a wonderful passion and community through the philosophy department. Now, I plan on double majoring in philosophy and history.

PHIL 1800 Tutor
Hi! My name is Jada and I'm a communications major, dance minor form Vancouver, Canada! When I first came to LMU philoosphy was quite new to me as a formal class however I fell in love with the discussion and questions it brought about. I always found it helpful to discuss the readings with others which is why I love working as a tutor for the department now.

PHIL 1800.11, 2000, & 2010 Tutor
Hello! My name is Lauren and I’m from Sacramento, CA! I came into LMU as a Mathematics (B.S) major, and after taking Philosophical Inquiry (PHIL 1800) and Logic (PHIL 2010), I decided to add a minor in Philosophy. Coming from a mathematical background, I quickly fell in love with logic. I enjoy the way both mathematics and philosophy cultivate critical thinking and logical reasoning. These two disciplines have strengthened my ability to analyze arguments and approach problems with precision. I’m excited to work with other students to explore and gain a deeper understanding of philosophical and logical concepts, and to share some of the enthusiasm that drew me to these disciplines.
