Alexis H.
PYSC 1000 Tutor

Hi! My name is Alexis and I am a Dance major & Psychology minor here at LMU. I grew up in Connecticut and have been dancing since I was 4 years old. I started developing an interest in psychology and overall human nature when I took my philosophy core last year, and after taking PSYC 1000, decided to add the minor! I'm super excited to be tutoring for this class because I find it super interesting and feel that all the material can really apply to anyone's life.

PYSC 2001 & 1000 Tutor

Hi, I’m Donovan. I’m a junior Computer Science major with a Psychology minor. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports, running, and watching TV shows. When exploring options for a minor, I found psychology fascinating because it connects human behavior with my technical side. I enjoy helping students feel confident with complex ideas by breaking them down into clear, simple steps.
Katherine H.
PYSC 2001 & 1000 Tutor

Hello! My name is Katherine, and I graduated from high school in Hawaii. I like reading books, writing poems, playing the ukulele, and building LEGOs in my free time. I took AP Psychology, and I liked it a lot which has led me to choose psychology as my major. This major has a lot of lower division classes that lean more into the scientific aspects of psychology, and it may not always be fun (especially when those upper division courses look really interesting). However, they are essential to building a solid foundation, and I’d be thrilled to help you on your journey through psych. Remember, you got this!

Hi! My name is Noelle, and I'm a psychology major here at LMU. I'll be tutoring (surprise) General Psych 1000! I'm from San Diego, CA and have tried probably every hobby under the sun, but my current favorites are rock climbing, song writing, and jewelry making. At the moment, I am also working for the Outdoor Adventure and Recreation Organization as an Org Specialist. I'm also a part of an after-school program at the Playa Vista Elementary School that teaches kids about understanding both their own and others' emotions. I'm so thrilled to be working with the ARC and am really looking forward to meeting everyone :)
Katelin D.
PYSC 4001 & 2002 Tutor

Hi, my name is Katelin and I am from St. Louis! I have always been interested in psychology but my time at LMU has helped to expand my views about where pyschology can be implemented. Since adding a computer science and business minor, I have decided to pursue a career that involves psychology in the workplace. I am involved in a research lab on campus where I explore Artificial Intelligence and the ways our brains process information. Outside of school, I love listening to music, playing with my dog, or going to a fun restaurant with friends.

Hi! My name is Sophia, and I am a Psychology major with a minor in Cognitive Science. Taking PSYC 2002 helped me develop a deeper appreciation for the process of deriving new research findings in the field of psychology. After graduating from LMU, I hope to continue my education by pursuing a career in clinical psychology. Outside of academics, I am involved in a service organization, and I enjoy going to the beach, playing with my cat, and spending time with friends. I hope to help you gain an appreciation for research methods and its importance in understanding human behavior.

PYSC 2001 & 1000 Tutor

I came to LMU to study psychology because I’ve always been curious about why people think and act the way they do. I got especially interested in the stats class I took with Professor Ajit Mann — I loved learning how data can be understood and described in different ways to help us reach clearer conclusions. I like focusing on the ‘why’ behind what we’re doing so the material feels less technical and more natural to understand.
