Before registering for classes, it is recommended that students connect with their assigned faculty or college-specific advisor to discuss their course options. Keep in mind that this meeting or a group advising session/workshop will be mandatory for some colleges to remove an Advisor Hold. Students are encouraged to meet with their faculty/college advisor even if they do not have an “Advisor Hold” on their account.
Each student is assigned a faculty or college-specific advisor within their major department or college. This individual will be able to assist you with any major-specific questions that you may have throughout your time at LMU.
Also, please note that each college has additional advising support available. Although a student’s assigned faculty/college advisor is still their primary advisor, students can consider utilizing these offices:
- BCLA – BCLA Advising Center
- CBA – CBA Advising
- CFA – CFA Academic Advisement Center for Student Success (AACSS)
- SCSE – Center for Student Success (CSS)
- SFTV – Student Advising
