First To Go...Travel!
The First To Go Program, in partnership with LMU's Pam Rector Center for Service and Action (CSA) and the Study Abroad Office, offer multiple travel immersion experiences for first-gen students interested in examining social justice causes on a global and local scale.
First To Go offers an annual 2-week international experience to a chosen location at the end of the spring semester, and offers multi-day immersion trips to domestic/international locations during the academically-scheduled winter and/or spring breaks.
SPRING 2023 TRIPS:
Alternative Breaks, Belize (In partnership with the Pam Rector Center for Service and Action)
- Trip Dates: 2/25/2023 - 3/4/2023
- Description: This AB, in partnership with St. John’s College, a Jesuit community college in Belize City, will focus on education justice and its impact on marginalized communities. Taking note from Jesuit tradition, students will learn how to center social justice through their educational experience, such as teaching “the whole person”.
