  • Congratulations to Professor Sharon Mooney on winning Best of Conference - New Media at the University of Film and Video 2019. Professor Sharon's new media project was made possible through her Rains Research Assistant grant and her Rains Assistant, Annie Villalobos—who recorded, edited and mixed the sound, and offered creative input.
Memory Distrust - what I remember may not be correct
This hologram project consists of a series of very short, very dark, formative personal experiences that happened to the artist growing up. The stories are so surreal and sometimes off-putting, so much so that the artist questions if they actually happened.
Images, writing, effects - Sharon Mooney
Sound recording, editing, design, and mix - Annie Villalobos & Corey Eccles
  • Congratulations to Political Science majors, Candace Yamanishi and Nadine Iskandar, whose abstract submissions were selected for presentation at this year's National Conference for Undergraduate Research (NCUR) at the University of Memphis! Candace's presentation,  "Achieving Diversity in the Los Angeles Unified School District," and Nadine's presentation, "The Ethical Dimensions of Western Counter-terrorism Approaches that Feature Muslim Women" will be included in NCUR 31st this spring.
