Jenn Weingarten, M.S., Assistant Director of Study Abroad, brings nearly two decades of experience in international education and a well-worn passport to prove it. Since entering the field in 2008, she has led program development, student advising, and cross-campus initiatives expanding access to global learning while navigating the operational, financial, and risk management realities that come with it.
Prior to LMU, Jenn spent over a decade at UCLA in senior leadership roles within international education, where she managed multi-million-dollar program portfolios, developed faculty-led summer programs across more than 20 countries for 750+ students, and built large-scale programming that served tens of thousands of students annually. Her work has consistently focused on increasing participation, strengthening institutional partnerships, and creating meaningful, well-supported international experiences for diverse student populations.
Jenn has traveled to 24 countries and lived abroad in Israel and Copenhagen. She speaks conversational Hebrew and is currently tackling Spanish.
Outside of work, Jenn is equal parts organizer, creator, and chaos coordinator. She founded her professional organizing and small business consulting company at 17 (yes, really) and still finds joy in turning everything from cluttered pantries to Lego-covered floors into systems that actually make sense. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her baking, watching a good drama or comedy, going on bicycle rides with her kids, or happily lost in an arts-and-crafts project. At home, Jenn lives with her wife, three daughters, two dogs, cat, snake, goldfish, and rotating cast of foster kids and animals.
